Our Foundation Family

We inherit our values and passions from those we call family.  Here are some of our family members that helped with pursuits over the years.                 

Avery Alexander Smith

Former Board and Founding Member

Avery Smith attended Western State Colorado University and The University of Denver studying English and Music. He has had prior experience working with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science conducting research in the paleontology department and currently provides freelance Web Design, Graphic Design, and IT Services. Avery is also a member of the Noon 30 Jazz Trio.

Niko Lewis Stone

Former Fundraising and Development Manager
Niko Stone was fortunate enough to have Shannon Jones as a classroom teacher when they were in elementary school.  Shannon inspired Niko to follow their dreams and to believe that anything is possible.  After earning their BA from the University of Redlands in 2010, Niko moved to the rural Japanese Alps where they taught English to grades K-9. Niko currently works in the Office of Admissions at CU Boulder's Law School and spends time volunteering with Out Boulder County.  They are proud to have worked with SBJPPF and help current students follow their passions just as Shannon helped them.
